United Presbyterian Church offers many opportunities for growth and service. Feel free to explore each of these. If you feel called to participate, contact the church office, our pastor or check the calendar to verify the date and feel free to join the event.

Personal Growth and Christian Nurture

  • Sunday School for all ages meets at 9:45 am on Sundays.
  • Wednesday Night ALIVE is our midweek program that offers a variety of opportunities for growth, renewal and fellowship.
  • Youth Groups – both Senior High and Junior High have regular weekly meetings and participate in a host of activities.
  • Sunday Evening Golf League (Summer Time)
  • Monday Evening Volleyball League (Summer Time)
  • FOTC Friends of the Carpenter makes building improvements every Monday
  • TLC (Together Let’s Clean) gathers once or twice a month to deep clean one or more rooms in the building.
  • Choir – Our adult singing group (The Cathedral Singers) practices weekly at 7:30 pm on Thursdays.
  • Praise Band – Practices at 7:00 on Wednesdays
  • Handbell Ringers – Practices at 6:30 pm on Thursdays.


  • Free Soup lunch on the 2nd Saturday
  • A Food Pantry distributes food on the 4th Saturday
  • Don’t Mention Age (DMA) on the 3rd Thursday has a pot luck lunch and program after.
  • Women’s Circle
  • Heart to Heart Prayer Tuesday evenings
  • Project RISE meets the 2nd Saturday of the month
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry held during the first session (at 5:10pm) when Wednesday Night ALIVE meets.
  • Iron Chef Fund Raiser in May for Cancer
  • Fairways for Food Golf Outing Fund raiser for Pantry

Beyond the Community

Our congregation supports the four annual special offerings requested by PCUSA: One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost Offering, Peacemaking Offering and the Christmas Joy Offering

In promoting interest and participation in mission work, our Church supports and encourages attendance at the New Wilmington Mission Conference and sponsors a youth mission trip on alternate years.
